Drum Ready To Make His Decision?

Offensive lineman, Rob Drum, from Spain Park High School in Hoover (Ala.), is very close to making his college decision. Scout.com's three-star lineman took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech over the weekend, and the Yellow Jackets are high on his list.

"I went to the Georgia Tech-UConn game this past weekend," said Rob Drum. "I liked it a lot. I really liked the stadium. I talked to Coach [Joe] D'Allessandris, and to Coach [Chan] Gailey. They both asked how my season was going and wanted to get some senior film."

"Georgia Tech stands really high on my list. I would say they are in my top two along with Duke," Drum added.

Drum talks about his top two schools.

Georgia Tech: "I like the academics. It's a really good school, and they have a really good football team. I like the city and the campus a lot."

Duke: "I like the coaching staff. I think Duke is a program on the rise. It would be nice to help the team turn things around."

The 6-7, 270-pound lineman wants to wait a few more weeks before making his decision, but he knows it's getting close.

"I would like to attend a game at Vanderbilt and at Duke," Drum said. "After I make visits to those two schools I will probably make my decision."

"I have received calls from Clemson, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Central Florida and all the schools who have offered me," Drum replied when asked of the college coaches who have called.

Spain Park will host Sparkman Friday night for Homecoming.
