Oshinowo Will Visit Duke

As the first school to offer a scholarship, the Duke Blue Devils find themselves in near the top of the table when it comes to 6-foot-7, 280 pound Illinois offensive lineman Timi Oshinowo. So what's the latest with Oshinowo?

"I just got back from visiting Northwestern. I was there for the Michigan game. Even though they lost I still had a really good time out there."

After flying under the radar for much of the recruiting season, Timi Oshinowo has seen his interest pick up dramatically from several programs on the strength of his senior highlight tape.

"Wisconsin, Stanford, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana all asked for tape from my coach. I've talked to all of those schools since then and they are wanting to see more of me in certain situations before they take the next step and offer me. I'm also hearing a lot from Purdue lately."

And while the Big 10 schools have yet to pull the trigger on an offer, that wasn't the case for Duke, who identified Oshinowo early and has stuck with him.

"They were the first to offer me and I talk to the coaches there every week. Right now they are trying to set up an official visit in the first part of December. I know I'll go on that visit, and I may look at some others, but right now I'm sure I'll visit Duke and then will sit down and go from there."

Oshinowo is the younger brother of Stanford defensive tackle Osheg Oshinowo.
