Devils Pick Up Another Georgia OL

Jeffrey Cowart is a big offensive line prospect from Mary Persons High School in Georgia that has made a decision on where he will be attending college.

"I wanted to let you know that I am committing to Duke University tonight," said Jeffrey Cowart. "My recruiting coach is Coach Bradley Sherrod. I took an unofficial visit to Duke for the Georgia Tech game on October 15. I really enjoyed the trip, liked the campus, the academics and the commitment of the coaching staff and athletic department to turn the program around."

Duke is putting together one of the best classes the Blue Devils have ever had, and Cowart is anxious to be a part of it.

"Coach Roof and the staff brought in a good recruiting class last year, and they are putting together a good class this year. I am looking forward to being apart of the foundation for the future. I will take my official visit the first or second week in December. I chose Duke over Vanderbilt, Clemson, Middle Tennessee, Ball State and Tulane."

Cowart has helped lead his team to an 8-3 record, and they will take on two time defending State Champion LaGrange at home on Friday.
