Two Interesting Recruiting Stories

A big South Carolina player and a suddenly hot kid from Homer, Louisiana, are both on the radar of big-time schools, and both mention Maryland as a school they'd love to play for.

Clint Jackson has an article up on Ra'Sean Dickey, a 6-11, 255 lb. kid from South Carolina. Everyone is after him. He currently lists his favorites as Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, Clemson, South Carolina and Kansas, but says there are others on the list as well, and Duke may well be one of those.

In another recruiting tidbit, one of the really fun things in recruiting is when a nobody turns into a big-ass somebody.  That happened last weekend for a kid from Louisiana named Vakeaton Wafer, a shooting guard who, as Dave Telep notes, is going to be getting lots of mail. He lists Maryland as one of his favorites, which is one of the perks Gary Williams will be getting from his national championship team.
