Geralds Has Duke In Top Two

Daverin Geralds, the two-way lineman from Louisiana, is starting to focus on just a few schools now. He has made one official visit and has at least one more planned for January.

Daverin said the schools recruiting him the hardest are, "Right now, Duke, Stanford, and Georgia Tech."

Daverin took a visit to Duke on the weekend of December 9th.

"Yeah, I took it," Geralds said. "I liked it. It was real nice."

He has planned a trip to Stanford for January 13th and may go to Atlanta to visit Georgia Tech as well, where he's being recruited by Coach Curtis Modkins.

"I have to get back with the coach at Georgia Tech to let him know if I'm going to be able to come next week (January 6th)," Geralds said. "I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take it for that weekend."

Daverin listed is current offers as: "Right now it's Stanford, Duke, Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech."

He is no longer interested in Northwestern even though they have a standing offer for him.

"Yeah, they're still involved but I don't have any interest," Geralds said.

As for his favorites Daverin said, "My top two would probably be Duke and Stanford," though he admits that an offer from Tech would likely change his favorites list.

"They (Georgia Tech) called and said if I feel like I'm real interested and had a strong chance for going there, they said they'll make me an offer," Geralds said.

One team like Geralds more as an offensive lineman but most just like him as a lineman and will find a specific position for him later.

"Ole Miss is recruiting me for offensive line," Geralds said. "All the others teams, it's just offense or defense."
