GREENSBORO, N.C. – J.J. Redick scored 35 points and No. 1 Duke improved to 12-0 on the season with a 102-69 victory over UNC Greensboro here at the Greensboro Coliseum Saturday afternoon.
Redick hit 10-of-16 from the floor, 6-of-11 from behind the arc and a perfect 9-of-9 from the line to lead the Blue Devils. Shelden Williams
had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds and added a career high six steals, as well.
Josh McRoberts scored 15 points off of a 6-of-8 performance from the floor while Martynas Pocius earned a career high 10 points as he hit 3-of-5 three pointers.
Duke scored the game's first nine points and would hold a 22 point halftime lead at 59-37. Redick scored 19 of his 35 in the first half.
The Spartans were led by Ricky Hickman's 23 points while Kyle Hines added 20 of his own in the game.
Duke will return to action Monday, Jan. 2, as they host Bucknell at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Tip is set for 4:30 p.m. and will be shown nationally on ESPN.
