The 6-foot-7 ½ King, a junior at Mater Dei (Calif.) who had committed to UCLA prior to his first high school game, committed to the Blue Devils officially on Thursday after weeks of speculation.
``I already spoke to Coach K," King said. "It's already done. I'm very excited to play for Coach K and at Duke. It's a thrill."
King, who backed out of his pledge to the Bruins this past summer, also considered Villanova and Gonzaga.
``It's going to be a great fit," King said. "It was just the way I felt. I have developed a real good relationship with Coach K and that's where I want to go."
``I don't think I'll be backing out this time," he joked.
King is averaging 26 points and 14 boards per game this season.
``I'd like to be shooting the ball a little better, but I'm rebounding better than I ever have," King said.
