Duke's Recruiting Focus Narrows

After Kris Humphries said he was coming to Durham, the Blue Devils have likely narrowed their recruiting focus quite a bit, and one player is likely the main target now.

The Blue Devils may be looking to sign but one more player this year, and that player is likely Blair Academy Star Luol Deng. Olu Famutimi, Brian Randle and Richard McBride are probably of lesser interest now. Not that they are not outstanding talents, but the Devils are turning their focus to Deng after signing Kris Humpheries.

While they may still have some interest in a couple of other players, namely Ebi - look for them to close shop should they get Deng. As far as future targets, the list is still long.

You can bet they have interest in Gibson, and certainly Shaun Livingtson and DeMarcus Nelson after strong showings this weekend. Famutimi failed to make the extensive All TOC Tournament team, as did Randle and McBride.

Also, Tarheel Talk is reporting that DeMarcus Nelson, a rising Junior was offered. We have no reason to think they might not in the future, but doubt this report is true. However, I was given every indication that Duke is at the top of Nelson's list by several solid sources.
