In addition to his Blue Devils offer, Weaver, a 6-foot-7 290-pound offensive tackle from Roxboro (N.C.) Person, owns tenders from Maryland, Wake Forest, and N.C. State.
Weaver will keep his eyes on all of his offering schools, but won't step foot on a campus besides Duke's this off-season.
"I'll do Duke's [junior day], and then I'll do the All-American and Shrine Bowl combines, but I don't really feel comfortable going to another school when I got a commitment," said Weaver. "But, it's like my parents say, it's always good to have a backup plan incase something catastrophic occurs like in the coaching staff. It's always good to have somebody to lean back on."
In his first season on the offensive line, Weaver was named to the all-conference and all-area teams for his play at right tackle. He graded no less than 85% in each game last season.
