One Offers; One Visit For Ill QB

Teddy Schell already has an offer from Rutgers, and wants to visit Duke officially soon

Rutgers thinks enough of Barrington, Ill., quarterback Teddy Schell that the Scarlet Knights have offered the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder, a scholarship.

Several schools are actively recruiting Schell and Broncos assistant coach Todd Kulkinski tells Scout.com that Schell is outstanding on and off the football field.

"Teddy (Schell) is a great athlete and a 4.0 student." Coach Kulkinski said.

"Teddy is your proto-type pro style quarterback. He's a big southpaw that shows a great touch. Some schools are going to want to see him throw that 15-20 yard out on a frozen rope but we feel he can make any throw on the football field.

"I just can't say enough about Teddy and what kind of person he is. He's the type of young man that you want in your program.

"Rutgers has offered, Duke called and said they'd like Teddy to take an official visit to Duke."

Schell is also a D-1 baseball recruit. We hope to have comments from Teddy in the near future.
