Duke First To Offer Jersey OL

Offensive lineman prospect Anthony Grosso now has a Duke offer, his first.

Offensive lineman prospect Anthony Grosso (6-foot-7 and 290-pounds) by way of Matawan HS in New Jersey has informed Scout.com of his first offer.

"I wanted to let you know that Duke has offered," stated Grosso.

"I have been hearing from a lot of new schools and some have really come on strong," continued Grosso. Those schools include, Stanford, Virginia, and North Carolina. "Notre Dame requested some film [also]. I get mail from tons of schools but I consider those the schools that are truly recruiting me."

"I went down to UNC for their junior day and Duke was recruting me also, so I decided to set up an unofficial to their campus. I met with the oline coach John Strollo. When i got back they requested film and my coach sent it and they offered about 5 days after that."

"I was really excited to get that first one especially from such a great school. I love the academics, the ACC, the location, the coaching staff, it's just a great place."

Grosso, who camped at the Rutgers summer camp last year, before entering his junior year, is being recruited as an offensive tackle by the majority of the schools on his list.
