Duke A Favorite Of Florida QB

J.B. Clark, a talented Florida QB, says the Blue Devils are among his early favorites

J.B. Clark plays in a Wing-T offense at Jupiter High. Therefore, he's not asked to throw the ball a whole lot. As a junior, he completed 54 percent of his passes for just over 600 yards and five touchdowns.

"I've been a starter since my freshman year," Clark said. "I think, mentally, I'm smarter than most quarterbacks. I learn better than most guys and I have a strong arm."

Clark, 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, doesn't have any scholarship offers yet but several schools are showing early interest.

"I talk to Stanford a lot," he said. "We e-mail back and forth. My top ones right now would be Duke, Stanford, South Carolina, and Indiana. Hopefully they'll like what they see this season and offer a scholarship."

Clark plans on attending the Scout.com All-American Combine at FAU on May 13.
