Devils Among Early Leaders for CA S

As a junior, Logan Ketchum had 65 tackles, six pass break-ups, four interceptions, and three fumble recoveries. Ketchum was named second team all-valley. He also starts on offense but doesn't see much action there as Oak Park runs the option.

Ketchum is the younger brother of UCLA sophomore wide receiver, Gavin Ketchum.

At this point, he has verbal offers from San Diego State and Duke. Schools are recruiting him for both sides of the ball. "I kind of prefer safety, but it doesn't matter to me," he explains. "I can play on both sides. I like the concept of offense but I also really like the aggressiveness of defense."

Ketchum isn't ready to limit his college options, but he went ahead and listed seven schools. "I like Colorado, San Diego State, Oregon, UCLA, Washington, Cal, and Duke. I really don't have any favorites right now."

He has been to Junior Days at UCLA, San Diego State and most recently, CU.

Ketchum has no issues with leaving the state for school. "I have no prejudices at all. I like the Pac Ten, but I would not mind going to another conference."

The talented two-way athlete feels he has great skills for the gridiron. "I have a good knowledge of the game. I get to the ball quick and am good at reading the quarterback. I am also good at press coverage."

Ketchum has no summer camp plans as of now. "I have been invited to most camps in the Pac Ten, plus Duke, Tennessee and Colorado. I am not sure which ones I will attend."

He carries a 3.0 core GPA.
