Duke Close to Offering Virginia RB/LB?

Terence Fells-Danzer has a lot of big time interest, some early offers, and a lot of talent

Over the course of the last month both Virginia and Virginia Tech decided to once again enter the battlefield for another in-state recruit – Terence Fells-Danzer.

"Just recently he's gotten a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech and UVa," said Culpeper (Va.) High School head football coach Greg Martz. "He's getting interest from Maryland and Clemson, and Duke also."

The Hokies have offered Fells-Danzer as a tailback, while the Cavaliers are looking at him for linebacker.

Given their proximity and having offers on the table, it's not a shocker to see that the two in-state schools are battling it out for Fells-Danzer.

"Basically he just talks about UVa and Tech," said Martz. "Other than that he hasn't shown a true favorite, but I know they are heavy. They show the most interest."

During the spring Fells-Danzer unofficially visited both in-state schools as well as Duke. However, during the summer a Spanish trip to Spain will only allow time for the Hokies' camp.

Last season as a junior at Culpeper (Va.) High School Fells-Danzer saw time at linebacker, defensive end, fullback, tailback, wide receiver, and even a little bit at quarterback. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder ended the season with seven total touchdowns (one on defense), and six sacks on offense.
