Arkansas OL Earns A Duke Offer

Johnny Borkins reports the Blue Devils have extended him a formal offer. But it's an uphill climb.

Fayetteville High School offensive lineman Johnny Borkins recently doubled his number of offers when a Big-12 and ACC school threw their hats into the ring.

"I have two more offers now. I got one from Texas A&M and one from Duke," reported Borkins.

The Aggies and Blue Devils join Mississippi State and Ole Miss on Borkins offer sheet. Johnny reports that several schools have telephoned him recently including Houston, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Auburn.

The talented lineman has a growing list of favorites and some of the schools that have offered are a bit lower down the list.

"I most interested in Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Texas A&M," said Johnny.

Borkins has not closed the door on the other schools in the running and said that he is interested in them, but they are not among his current favorites.

It has been reported that the bond between Borkins and teammate Ben Ball runs very deep. The pair has plans to play together in college.

"Where he (Ball) goes, I go. I am with him all the way," said Borkins.

Will the tandem get the chance to play together and where might that be? Stay with Scout.com to find out.
