West Coast Athlete Awaiting More Offers

David Roberts has two offers from local programs, but is looking for more.

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) receiver/defensive back David Roberts recently picked up his first two official offers.

"I have received an offer from Colorado State and the University of Idaho to play football," said Roberts.

The offers from the Rams and Vandals come on the heels of a busy spring for Roberts, one which has kept him off the football field and on the track.

"I have been running track and I was the Baseline League champion in the 200 meters time (21.8 sec.), and was third in the 400m (49.9 sec)," said Roberts.

At a recent combine held in San Bernardino, Roberts clocked a 4.5 forty ("slow time for me because my stride is long for track"), a 37-inch vertical and a 4.2 shuttle.

Roberts is also an excellent student, holding a 4.1 GPA and scoring a 1720 on the SAT.

Other schools of interest for Roberts are USC, Duke, UCLA, Stanford, Washington, Northwestern and California.
