McWilliams On Duke FB Radar

Paterson Catholic High School linebacker Josh McWilliams is ready for what lies ahead. The 6-foot-0, 205-pound McWilliams is still awaiting his first written offer but he is gaining interest from all over.

"I am hearing from Cincinnati, Duke, Virginia, Michigan, Penn State, Florida, Miami, and Iowa," McWilliams said. "They are all looking at me as an outside linebacker or a strong safety."

McWilliams knows exactly what he wants from his future college. "I would like to stay close to home. I also hope to be able to play by my sophomore year and I want to go to a good academic school where I can graduate in three years," McWilliams said.

There is even a trio of schools that are hoping to pull a three-man package deal out of Paterson Catholic. "Cincinnati, Duke, and Virginia are all talking about me, Al-Ghaffar Lane, and Domanique Parks as a package deal," McWilliams said.

McWilliams also plans on taking in some camps this summer. "I plan on camping at Penn State, Boston College, Syracuse, and Rutgers this summer," McWilliams said. "I also plan on visiting Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Iowa this summer too."

McWilliams is also very specific about when he plans on announcing his college choice. "I plan on announcing after we win the state championship game this year," McWilliams said.

McWilliams finished his junior season with 109 tackles, nine sacks, two interceptions, and three fumble recoveries for the Paterson Catholic Cougars.
