David Legree, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound quarterback from South Shore HS in Brooklyn, N.Y. is one of the State's most heavily recruited players.

"I have been in contact with a lot of coaches since the evaluation period began," Legree began. "Toledo, Maryland, Purdue, Connecticut, Duke, Syracuse and Rutgers are the schools that have contacted me."

Legree is receiving heavy interest and so far, three schools have stepped forward with an offer per South Shore Head Coach Tom Salvato.

"David has written offers from Duke, Temple, and Toledo," the coach said. "Syracuse, Rutgers, UConn and Purdue are all actively recruiting him right now."

Legree will definitely be attending camp at Syracuse this summer, but he plans two more stops, but he has not yet completely finalized his camp plans.

"I am probably going to be attending camp at Purdue and I need to make a final decision on my third camp," Legree said.

"I am just anxious to get out and show people my abilities. I not only want to show them at the camps and on the field during my senior season, but I also want to show everyone my abilities academically."

As a junior, Legree threw for 1483 yards and 15 touchdowns earning him All-Conference, All-NYC, and All-Borough honors.
