Another Big FL OL Has Duke In Top Five

Chaz Hine, a 6'4, 300lbs offensive lineman from Florida has the Blue Devils among his top five schools early on in the recruiting process. After attending the combine at Florida Atlantic recently, Hine says interest is picking up.

Chaz Hine is coming off a strong junior season and he was hoping to make a statement this spring. However, a hamstring injury set him back.

"It's bothered me the last few weeks and I wasn't able to play in our spring game because of it," Hine said. "I guess it's better that it happened now than in the fall."

Hine, 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, attended the All-American Combine at FAU a couple Saturdays ago but was unable to do much. He tried doing the 40 at about 75-percent.

"I'm feeling great now but it was tough having to watch at the combine, especially during all the one-on-ones they were having," he said. "I feel like I'm a big, strong kid with good feet and I just try going out and kicking the other guy's butt. That's how I play."

On the recruiting front, Hine may be closing in on his first offer.

"USF called and they seem real interested," he said. "They're an up and coming team and I like Coach Leavitt and Coach Frye. A lot of other schools came out during spring. I'd say my top five right now would be Florida, Duke, Auburn, South Florida, and Ole Miss."
