SC Safety Still Waiting on First Offer

Attending football camps is an important part of the summer for football prospects, and Greer (S.C) Riverside High standout defensive back Mark Santoro is certainly taking advantage of the experience.

"They have been going real well. I got back from Duke last week, and we were at vanderbilt on June 4th," said the 6-foot, 180 pound safety from Riverside High in Greer, S.C. "I have been getting put in the best groups with the defensive backs coach, so that should be pretty good. They have all said I did a great job and they want to get back to me."

While the camps are going well, Santoro is still looking for his first scholarship offer.

"Duke said they want to see the senior film and with Vanderbilt, I just don't know. They didn't say anything about senior film, but I am sure once I get that I will send it to them."

Santoro, who moved to South Carolina from California last year, plans to make a return trip to the West Coast for another camp.

"We are actually going to Stanford next weekend, and they are excited about me coming out there. I am definitely excited to go there, it is a beautiful campus and it is a great school, too."
