Florida DL Waiting On More Offers

Offensive lineman Elvis Fisher (6-4.5, 310, 5.21), from St. Petersburg Catholic High School (Fla.), denies a top five, but said he slightly favors Auburn over Nebraska and Florida. However, none of those schools have offered.

"Those three schools haven't offered me though. Of my nine offers, I'd be interested in USF, Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina State and Missouri," Fisher said.

"I'm mostly being recruited as an offensive tackle, but I can also play offensive guard. I'm better at offensive tackle, and I like it most because I'm good at blocking that defensive end on the outside. I take pride in how quick I'm able to block D-Ends.

"I'm on my way to Auburn right now, so I will be there for camp tomorrow (Saturday). They are ranked high in academics, and I have some older friends who went to college there who said the academics are great. Also, Auburn's football program produced a couple linemen in the past year who went to the NFL," Fisher said.

"My recruiting coordinator from Nebraska, coach E (Phil Elmassian), said that if it was up to him, I would already have an offer. The staff really likes me, but they have to see some of my senior film to see if I stay the same or get any better. My grandpa went to Nebraska for college, and he sent me to camp there about a year ago. I wanted to go to camp again this summer but I couldn't make it because of the distance. I like the campus and everyone there is really nice.

"Florida has big tradition, and I would love to go to a university with big tradition in both academics and football. I went for Junior Day and I'm going to camp there in about a week on July 21," he said.

"I'll take all five of my official visits--I just don't know where to yet. I probably won't decide until mid or after the season."

Fisher squats 500 and bench presses 330.

He reports a 3.1 core GPA, a 1150 SAT and a 16 ACT.
