Receiver Commits To Duke

Josh Trezvant, a playmaking three star wide receiver from Morrillton, Ark., decided not to wait any longer and decided to make a commitment yesterday.

"I committed to Duke," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder. "They offered me a full scholarship, and I thought I could do some great things over there and get a great education in my time over there."

Trezvant, who also held an offer from Stanford, felt that the time was just right for him to make a decision before the season even without first visiting the campus.

"I committed to them yesterday, and they said they were exctied about it. I haven't been to the campus yet, but I plan on taking a visit whenever I can. The schedule is busy right now with football here."

Duke recruited Trezvant to play either wide receiver, and that is the position where he feels the most comfortable on the football field.

Trezvant caught 66 passes for 1,107 yards and 6 touchdowns and rushed for 920 yards and 14 more scores while lining up at both wideout and tailback on offense while also having 40 tackles, 3 interceptions and 9 pass break ups from his cornerback spot on defense.
