Four Star Lineman Waiting On In-State Offer

Florida offensive lineman Elvis Fisher (6-4.5, 310, 5.21), from Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, said he now favors Florida slightly over Auburn, Nebraska, and his ten offers from other programs around the region.

Missouri, Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, South Florida, Maryland, Florida International, Central Florida, West Virginia, and Marshall are the schools who have offered.

"I'm going to send a highlight tape of my first few games to the schools that haven't offered yet, and then I'm hoping to narrow down my favorites after that. My first game is in about three weeks," Fisher said.

"I camped at Florida in late July. They have a huge stadium and I could see myself playing in front of all those people. I think I would be a good fit there because I get along well with the coaches—they have a work-hard attitude like me. I think they really are going to win a national championship in the next couple years. The coaches said they are going to offer a couple more offensive linemen, and that they have a list of five top prospects. They said I am at the top of that list.

"Auburn used to have a slight lead, but after camping there, I didn't like it as much. Florida's camp was a lot more organized and everything; and they had a lot more hype," Fisher said.

"I like Nebraska because it's a school known for producing great linemen. Plus, my grandpa went there—so it has some family history.

"I want a great tradition school with friendly people all around. I would love to take all of my official visits, unless the right school comes along. Right now the ‘right school' is Florida."

Fisher reports a 3.1 core GPA and a 16 ACT.
