Devils Make The Cut For Top NC Prospect

Four-star wide receiver (ranked #8 in the nation by and SuperPrep Magazine cover boy) Greg Little (6-3, 210, 4.5) from Durham Hillside (N.C.) plans to make his announcement during a press conference at his high school on October 6.

Although he still denies a leader--he lists Notre Dame, North Carolina, USC, Michigan, Florida, Duke, Wake Forest and Ohio State as his current favorites.

Little has already scheduled an official visit to Notre Dame for the Michigan game on September 16. "I like coach Charlie Weis and the offense they run," Little said. "I could really see myself getting some early playing time there too. Also, I really think they are going to have a great season. I think they'll win it all this year."

He has already visited North Carolina, Florida and Duke unofficially. "Duke is right around the corner from my house," Little said. "It's like three minutes away."

The Gators seem to be recruiting Little the most. "They send the most letters and just seem to be paying the most attention to me. I like the warm climate there. It's one of those places where you can workout any time of year.

"USC has really nice weather too," Little said. "Also, it's really urban and that's kind of like where I live now so I think I'd be comfortable there. They have a great history and tradition and it's just a program that I could see myself playing for."

Little lists coaches, playing time and academics as the three most important factors in his decision. I want to play for down to earth coaches that are reliable," Little said.

"Also, I'd like to have a chance to play early wherever I go. Academics are important too and when I take my visits I'll be looking at that too. I plan to take all five of my trips before I commit and that doesn't leave me a lot of time. I'll be setting up the rest of the trips soon and should have a top five within the next week or two."

Durham Hillside played their first game on August 18 against Northeast Guilford and won 32-7. Little played running back after their starter got injured and had around 100 total yards. Their next game is on August 25 versus Graham.

He reports a 2.7 GPA and a 930 SAT score.
