Singler's Duke Visit A Success

From the second he arrived at RDU, Kyle Singler knew it was going to be a good weekend. That's because the nation's top small forward prospect was making his long awaited official visit to Duke along with his mother and father. Now, nearly a week after returning home, the visit has sunk in and left a positive mark on the 6-foot-9 Oregon prepstar.

"The visit to Duke went really well," said Kyle Singler. "I had a chance to hang out with the players and really get to know everyone involved with the program. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and my parents and I were very comfortable with the entire visit. We all loved it."

During the visit the Duke coaching staff made their final official pitch to Singler, who has long been identified as their top recruiting target, much as former Blue Devil Luol Deng was identified nearly 18 month prior to his high school graduation.

"We got a chance to really talk with Coach K a lot, which was a lot of fun. I also got a chance to meet the players - a lot of them are young so I would be playing with them if I choose Duke."

Still, the five star prospect isn't ready to shut down the recruiting process just yet. In fact he's got another official visit lined up to Kansas in a few weeks. However, once that's through it'll be time for Singler to put an end to his high profile recruiting process.

"After I visit Kansas for their Late Night event, and I'm looking forward to it. Once I get back, I'm going to sit down with my family and talk it out. Then I'll make a decision a week or so later. That way everything is still fresh and I can make the best decision possible for me."

Singler is rated as the nation's top small forward prospect by He is considered the nation's fourth best overall prospect according to Scout.
