Smith Impressive In National TV Debut

Future Blue Devil Nolan Smith impressed onlookers as Oak Hill Academy beat Norcross (Ga.) on ESPN Thursday night.

It didn't take long for the Duke bound Smith to make his mark on the game. The 6'3 senior scored 10 first quarter points, including a three pointer at the buzzer as the Warriors cruised to a 65-57 win on Thursday.

All told the future Blue Devil finished with 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting, but wasn't overly impressed with his team's performance.

"We didn't play great," Smith said when asked to rate his team's performance. "On a scale of one to 10, I would say a six."

In a game when neither team shot overly well from the floor, it was Smith's steady game that kept the Warriors in front as he hit seven of his first nine field goals, including three of his first four perimeter jumpers.
