Morgan Makes It Official For Duke

Though there wasn't a lot of doubt regarding the ultimate decision being made, Bryan Morgan still wanted to take his official visit to Duke before committing.

"I knew that Duke was the place for me in the end," said Bryan Morgan. "I knew a little about the program and the school, because they had recruited me last season. So I was really comfortable there this weekend. I'm now firmly committed."

Morgan was almost a late addition to the class of 2006, but decided that he needed a year in prep school to work on his body and prepare to enter college more ready for the daily grind against bigger and faster players.

"I think it's been a good year. I'm a lot stronger than I was, and I'll continue to get bigger and stronger before I enroll."

Morgan had several offers a season ago including ones from Duke, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Navy, and Memphis. Most of those offers still stand, but it didn't matter. He's been set on becoming a Blue Devil for a while.

"It's a great opportunity for me to go to Duke. They want me to line up at center, which will be a new challenge. I talked with Coach Strollo about it and even though it'll be a position I haven't played in a game, I think I can handle it."

Morgan, who measures out at 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, has yet to be evaluated by's recruiting analysts.
