2007 Football Schedule Released

DURHAM, N.C. -- Five home games, eight consecutive contests versus bowl teams from a year ago and non-conference road trips to Navy, Northwestern and Notre Dame highlight Duke's 2007 football schedule released on Wednesday by the ACC Office.

The Blue Devils will kick off the season at home against Connecticut on September 1 and open league play one week later against Virginia in Charlottesville. After traveling to face Northwestern on September 15, Duke will begin a stretch of eight straight games against schools that played in bowl games last season, starting with away tilts at Navy (Sept. 22) and Miami (Sept. 29).

Duke will be at home the first two weeks of October as defending ACC champion Wake Forest (Oct. 6) and Virginia Tech (Oct. 13) travel to Durham. Following an open date, the Blue Devils head to Tallahassee to meet Florida State on October 27 prior to the final two home games of the year against Clemson (Nov. 3) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 10).
