Jersey OL Getting Looks

New Jersey offensive lineman Will Martin recently spent two weekends in a row visiting Connecticut and also was able to take in a spring game at Rutgers. While this talented lineman has yet to pick up his first offer he certainly does not have a shortage of interest surrounding him.

Will Martin, a 6-foot-3, 285-pound offensive guard from Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, N.J., has been hearing from Connecticut, Duke, Pittsburgh and Rutgers for quite some time now and plans to check out what North Carolina State has to offer during the summer months.

"I was at Connecticut for their junior day and then went back up the next weekend to take in the spring game," Martin explained. "I really liked the facilities there and thought the campus was very nice. You could tell they were putting a lot of money into things there as the entire weight room was computerized and they had an indoor practice field that was very nice. I talk to Coach (Matt) Cersosimo every once in a while on the phone and could definitely see myself going to Connecticut. I'm probably going to attend camp there this summer."

"I went to Rutgers for their spring game as well and had a nice time," Martin said. "I got to see their complex which was very, very nice and very, very big. The weight room there was probably a bit bigger then Connecticut's and I did get to meet some of the coaching staff briefly. It's obviously very close to home and I like it there, so I'm interested in Rutgers."

"I still get mail from Pittsburgh and Duke consistently and also started to hear from North Carolina State a bit," Martin added. "I'm probably going to check them out in June with Pat Schell because it sounds like a nice school with a good football program."

Martin currently holds no offers and has no time frame for when he'd like to make a decision. He is completely open in his recruiting at this time.
