Another Pennsylvania Standout Has An Offer

Ryan Turnley picked up five new scholarship offers since we last spoke with him giving the Aliquippa, Pa., product a total of seven written offers. Turnley believes that more schools could be joining the mix soon as well and is excited about the future right now.

Ryan Turnley, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle from Hopewell High School has already watched teammate David Posluszny make his college choice, however with new offers from Buffalo, Delaware, Duke, Indiana and Marshall added on to what he already held from Georgia Tech and Akron, a decision shouldn't be expected anytime in the near future with Turnley.

Indiana - "One of the coaches called and said that they got my film and really liked what they saw out of me, so I got the offer from them a few days later. It was exciting getting my first offer from the Big Ten and I'll be visiting the school when I make a road trip in the summer that will include Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State and Northwestern. They've all expressed a lot of interest, so I'm going to hit them all up at once this summer."

Buffalo - "I spoke to the Head Coach Turner Gill and know he was a quarterback at Nebraska, but he told me he also was the quarterbacks coach in Green Bay for Brett Favre at one point too. He was an extremely nice man and we were able to talk for a while and get to know each other."

Georgia Tech - "Right now I'm planning on visiting there very soon, so I just have to work out with the coaching staff when the best time to visit would be. They've been to nine straight bowl games which is pretty impressive and I get along really well with Coach (Joe) D'Alessandris who stopped by the school to see me recently."

Akron - "I like them a lot because they were the first school to come in and give me a scholarship offer. I have been keeping in touch with both Coach (Joe) Moorhead and Coach (Brian) Callahan and really enjoyed talking to both of them."

Duke - "I spoke to Coach (Larry) Kerr and he told me they sent out a written offer to me two days ago, so I should be expecting it soon. Obviously the education I could get at Duke would be great."

Turnley was an honorable mention All-Conference selection as a junior and believes that Northwestern, Connecticut and Pittsburgh could all be very close to offering him.
