Ryan Turnley Makes It 10

Aliquippa, Pa., offensive lineman Ryan Turnley picked up three more offers this week from Wisconsin, Louisville and Maryland thrusting him into the double digits at this point in his recruitment. While Turnley has not yet named any leaders at this point, we were able to snag his preference when it came to his top seven.

Ryan Turnley has yet to name any leaders, but after picking up offers from Maryland, Wisconsin and Louisville this week the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle did have to give us his top seven schools to list and included Louisville, Wisconsin, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Akron, Duke and Indiana in no particular order. Turnley has no time frame for a decision, so that list is to be taken at face value as he is still open, but we were able to get his incite on his latest three offers.

Louisville - "I spent a lot of time talking with them back in the early part of the year and then some time in February the contact stopped. I really didn't get anything until May and then a coach stopped by the school and I had an offer a few days ago when I was sorting through my mail. I have watched Louisville on television over the years and really like the atmosphere they get to play in on a weekly basis. They get a lot of exposure and the fact that Coach (Bobby) Petrino left the program doesn't affect me at all as I never spoke with him in the first place."

Wisconsin - "Wisconsin said they like me at offensive tackle and just offered a day or two ago. Coach (John) Settle called me once in May when they were allowed to call and said they were going to send me an offer and I got the letter like three days later. Their Head Coach (Bret) Bielema visited my school in May as well and just came off as a very good coach. I was really honored to get an offer to play offensive line for Wisconsin because the just continue to produce excellent, massive linemen on a yearly basis up there and just put Joe Thomas into the NFL with the second overall pick. There is just so much excellence on the offensive line at Wisconsin and I will definitely be visiting there."

Maryland - "I hadn't heard anything from Maryland until just a few weeks ago and then they just sent me an offer somewhat out of the blue. I cannot remember the coaches name that came by my school in May, however their campus isn't too far away and again, the teams the play and atmosphere surrouding that program are really appealing to me. I will definitely be visiting Maryland."

While Turnley has been picking up offers at a rapid pace lately, he has also spent time camping already and was at West Virginia this past weekend for a senior camp they held. He spoke a bit about the experience in Morgantown and how he felt he did.

"I went down to West Virginia for camp on Sunday and they had some really good players down there on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball when it came to linemen," Turnley explained. "I met Tyler Sands from Boyertown down there and he is a really cool guy and there were some other really great people their too. West Virginia has not offered me yet, but I would definitely be happy if they did."

As a junior at Hopewell High School, Turnley was an honorable mention All-Conference pick.
