"I visited West Virginia, Tennessee and Vanderbilt recently and even though Vanderbilt is the only program of the three that has offered me I still enjoyed my time at each of those schools," Sands explained. "Vanderbilt was just so impressive that they are definitely one of my top sevens schools at this point, so I made a list of my top seven schools at this point and they are Duke, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Boston College, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt."
"I have also planned an unofficial visit to Illinois on June 27th and have no plans to attend anymore camps this summer, but will be looking to take quite a few visits in the next couple of weeks and see some schools," Sands said. "Right now I am looking to hit up some local schools like Penn State, Rutgers and Pittsburgh. Penn State recently expressed to me that given recent offensive line commitments to other schools they now have scholarships at the position available, so when I visit there I could very well end up with a scholarship offer. I want to get out and see Pittsburgh and Rutgers as well because they have been showing a lot of interest lately and are only two hours away."
"As for Illinois I have been hearing some great things about the program from a friend of mine, so I am excited to get out there and see what they offer," Sands added. "It seems like there are a lot of positives when it comes to that school, so I guess I'll get a chance to see some of them later this month."
Sands holds 22 offers from Utah, Louisville, North Carolina State, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Army, Boston College, Delaware, Villanova, Illinois, Akron, Duke, Navy, Nebraska, Temple, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Maryland and Connecticut.
