Bama Safety Says Duke Is Working

Linden High School is expecting a strong season in 2007 thanks in large part to an experienced team. One of the most experienced players, senior to be Seandre Richardson, is looking to produce on both sides of the ball.

"We get started on Monday," said Richardson. "We are going to have a great season. We have a lot of seniors and lot of leadership this year. We're expecting big things. They brought in new coaches and they brought in some new things for us. They are really trying to help us. I am real excited because I think we are really on the right path."

Seandre will play safety on defense and wingback on offense. Richardson's play on the defensive side of the ball has drawn the attention of several college recruiters. Duke, Mississippi State, Troy and Vanderbilt have come through with offer.

Richardson camped this summer at Alabama, Georgia Tech and UAB. It appears that one of those camping trips may be about to pay some dividends.

"I think Georgia Tech may be about to offer," said Seandre. "I have been talking with them a good bit and they seem real interested."

The Jackets have plenty of competition and most of the competition has already put an offer on the table.

"Duke, Vanderbilt and Louisville are recruiting me pretty hard. Mississippi State is talking with me a little bit right now, but Duke is probably recruiting me the hardest out of the schools who have offered."

As far as a decision goes, Seandre is unsure when he will make one.

"I just don't know right now," said Richardson. "I am going to wait and see what all happens before I make a decision."
