Duke Involved With '09 OL

Billy Autrey has the potential to be one of the top interior offensive line prospects in the State of Mississippi for the 2009 signing class. Autrey has already begun to hear from schools around the southeast.

"I have started getting some letters and things like that," said Autrey. "I got something from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Duke, Louisiana Tech, Virginia and Princeton."

Billy has the ability to play all of the interior line positions, but it appears most schools like him snapping the ball.

"Most everybody is recruiting me as a center," said Billy. "There are some who are talking about me as an interior lineman, but it's mostly center."

Billy got the chance to take in a summer camp at the University of Alabama. Considering Autrey's family ties to the Crimson Tide, it should come as no surprise that he would make a trip to Tuscaloosa.

"My parents met at Alabama and my sister goes to Alabama," said Billy. "If I had a favorite school growing up it would be Alabama. They would be my number one school."

The recruiting process is just beginning for Autrey, but he has a good idea of what he is looking for in a college.

"I am just looking to see how everyone treats me," said the talented center. "I am looking at how good the football program is and how they will do in the future. I am going to be watching to see what other prospects they get."
