"Right now I am hearing from a lot of the same schools that Hubie Graham was talking to because they saw me when they came to see him," Shrive explained. "I picked up offers from Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Syracuse already and have heard in some way from schools like Illinois, Boston College, Duke, Ohio State, North Carolina State, USC, Connecticut, Penn State and Notre Dame."
Shrive took some time to talk about each of the three schools that have offered him, as well as one unofficial visit he already took to Penn State this fall.
Pittsburgh - "Pittsburgh is just a great place and I am planning to go watch them play Cincinnati at this point. Coach (Brian) Angelichio really seems to be a good guy and you can see the staff has that program going in the right direction. I'm just excited to get out there and see what they have to offer."
Rutgers - "I was out there earlier in the summer with Hubie Graham for a visit and then went back with him to watch them play Maryland this weekend. I like that they have a good mix of academics and football there and a great coaching staff. The atmosphere at game time was amazing and even though the stadium only holds about 45,000 it sounded more like 100,000 during the game."
Syracuse - "I was told this week that the offer is in the mail from Syracuse and am going there on Saturday for their game against West Virginia. I have been camping there since eight grade and am very familiar with the coaching staff who I really like. I think they are getting the players they want in there now and are on the right track."
Penn State - "I was at Happy Valley for their game against Notre Dame and there wasn't an empty seat in the entire place. The atmosphere was great and so was the game. It really is a unique place because everything is just about Penn State Football there and I really enjoyed my camp experience this summer."
West Scranton is off to a 4-1 start this season, having only dropped a heartbreaker in a game they turned the ball over five times in. Shrive has a max bench of 350 pounds, a max squat of 450 pounds and boasts a 3.44 core GPA.
