North Carolina was picked to win the ACC Championship and the Tar Heels' Tyler Hansbrough was named preseason Player of the Year. The Tar Heels received all 64 first place votes. The Blue Devils received 29 second place, 23 third place, 10 fourth place and three fifth place votes for 653 points, edging out N.C. State by 12 points.
Singler, a 6-8, 220 lb. native of Medford, Ore., and the rest of the Blue Devils recently finished off their first week of official practice for the 2007-08 season, slated to begin Saturday, Oct. 27, with the annual Blue-White scrimmage. The scrimmage will air live on GoDuke.com's Inside Access package with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
Duke fans can also see Duke's 2007-08 squad first hand as the Duke auction site recently added ticket packages for the first few games, including the Blue-White scrimmage.
