Moore, 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds, had a hard time dealing with the injury at first but he got adjusted.
"It was tough in the beginning but then I accepted my role on this team as being able to help the other guys," he said. "It worked out fine. Being that it was my first injury ever, it was something different."
Moore made a very early commitment to Duke and he talked about the latest with the recent firing of head coach Ted Roof.
"Recruiting's going good except all these coaches are getting fired," he said. "I'm committed to Duke but I'm also waiting to see how all of this gets shuffled out. I'll give it a few weeks. I'm supposed to be taking my visit there on December 7th and I'm sure they'll have a good guy in there."
Despite his early commitment to Duke and the injury, Moore still had other schools calling him.
"I was talking to Georgia Tech a lot but now they're going through a coaching change," he said. "I've talking to Boston College and I'm gonna try taking a trip up there. And in recent days, I've heard from schools like Kansas State and FIU."
Moore knows he'll have plenty of time to make an informed decision after all the coaching changes are made.
"I think they'll have one by Christmas so that'll still give me about a month and a half to figure out what is best for me," he said."
