Four Star Quarterback Offered By Duke

Scout.com has been informed that four-star QB Sean Renfree from Scottsdale (AZ) Notre Dame Prep has been offered by Duke.

Duke hired former Tennessee assistant David Cutcliffe as their head coach yesterday and Cutcliffe was quick to offer the 6-3 205 pound Renfree.

The offer from the Blue Devils now gives Renfree 10 offers. Those being from Duke, Northwestern, Nebraska, Boise State, Arizona State, Stanford, Army, Arizona, Oregon State and Georgia Tech.

Previously Sean Renfree had been committed to Georgia Tech, but that changed when the Yellow Jackets hired Navy coach Paul Johnson.

Renfree and his father made an announcement via email last week of Sean's intentions, "Sean is happy Georgia Tech found a new coach, but that he no longer feels that there is a good fit there for him and he is looking at other opportunities. He appreciates the interest they gave him, and wishes Georgia Tech luck in the future."

At this point Sean denies a leader and says he has no time frame for committing, "I want to take my time. It is really important, it is where I will be for the next five years of my life."

He adds, "I wanr to take this week and really weigh my options." As far as visits he says, "No one has really contacted yet but I hope to take my officials in January."
