"I have been struggling the past couple of games and coach really got with me and we worked on taking really good shots," Hood said after the game. "My shot hasn't fallen for me, a bunch of us have been struggling but that was better."
It wasn't just the jump shot that he had working against Trinity, Hood is also a pretty good athlete, and he showed off his hops on a few fast breaks, including one where he got a bump and rose up and jammed it in traffic.
For the game Hood finished 9-for-13 from the field and scored 24 points in North Hopkins double-digit win in front of a big crowd at the Louisville Gardens.
"Not too many people come down to Western Kentucky to see us play," Hood said. "It's good for us to come up and play in Louisville."
Following the game, four television cameras and a handful of reporters surrounded Hood hoping to gain some new information on his recruitment. Despite a number of schools showing interest, he doesn't appear to be making a decision soon.
"I have had a while to think about it," Hood said. "It will be sometime during the summer before schools starts, maybe middle of the summer. I want to take some unofficial [visits], take some more and take some officials and see where we go from there."
Hood mentioned that he currently holds scholarship offers from Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee. Duke, Florida and Vanderbilt are also involved in Hood's recruitment.
"I try to keep in touch with everybody," Hood said. "Coach Cox at UK, I keep in touch with him a lot. Tennessee, I keep in touch with coach Forbes and coach Jones. I talk to them a lot. I like coach Pearl and how they play."
He's already taken unofficial visits to Kentucky (a handful of times), Mississippi, Duke, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Western Kentucky. Hood hopes to revisit Duke and Florida before he makes a decision.
