Peach State Power Forward Enjoyed Visit

By now most Blue Devil faithful are aware of the quartet of prospects from the class of 2009 that hold an offer from head coach Mike Krzyzewski's program. Another prospect who has also appeared on the radar was on hand to see Duke's victory over St. John's on Saturday. TDD spoke with Kenny Hall about his visit on Monday.

"It was a really great visit," said 6-foot-9, 215lbs Georgia native Kenny Hall. "The coaches took me around the campus and showed me their new practice facility. Everything there is the best around. It was hard not to be blown away."

After the requisite tours and meetings, Hall had a chance to sit down with head coach Mike Krzyzewski for an interview and a chat about Hall's recruiting process.

"He talked about what kind of opportunity it is to come to Duke and play in the program. He talked about their level of success in developing players who are tall, but can play facing the basket. Guys like Roshown McLeod, Mike Dunleavy, and Shane Battier all played the power forward at times at Duke, but their offense let them move to the small forward at times - which is what they all play in the NBA."

The conversation also touched on Hall's timetable, which is open ended at this point, and the necessity to take care of business in both the classroom and on the court.

"Coach K doesn't pull any punches. He tells you like it is. He told me that I need to take my time and look at all the factors each school has so I can make the right decision."

"Duke didn't offer me, and that's OK for right now. If they do come out with an offer I am sure my interest in them will get even higher. I've got a lot of time to hang out and look around before i need to worry about that kind of thing though."
