Cutcliffe Offers '09 Quarterback

After landing highly rated signal caller Sean Renfree in his first few weeks on the job, Blue Devil head coach David Cutcliffe has extended another offer to a highly rated quarterback in the class of 2009.

"Coach Cutcliffe sent him an official written offer this morning," said Cameron Lawrence's father, Carl. "Nebraska also called his coach today."

The 6' 2", 188 pound quarterback has now been offered by Duke, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State.

Lawrence will take in a Jr Day visit this weekend to one of the schools who is also showing interest.

"Cameron is going to Ole Miss this weekend for Jr Day, added Mr. Larwence."

Lawrence had previously indicated to Scout.com that he planned to end his recruiting process early.

"I am not exactly sure when I will make a decision, but I would like to have it done before the summer," said Cameron. "I don't have to have it done by then, but that's kind of what I am thinking about right now."

The reasoning was simple. Lawrence will graduate high school a semester early so he can enroll at his new school in January, so he will be eligible to participate in 2009's Spring Practice.
