Still there are some great memories for Moore and his teammates of their win over Beaufort. "It was David vs Goliath. We average about 190 on our offensive line and we ran up and down the field on their Shrine Bowl defense." Still that intensity we talked about earlier was something that quickly caught our attention. Asked what his mindset going into the game he responded, "My mind was set on playing smashmouth football. I knew my blocks, tackles, and runs would help us win. I just had to give everything I had in me. I also kept repeating that I can do all things in Christ. I knew that there was no way we could lose that night."
Schools have already started to show major interest in Moore for his talents on the gridiron. He shared with us a lengthy list of schools who are actively recruiting him. "I'm hearing from North Carolina State, Duke, LSU, Furman, Wofford, Georgia Tech, Elon, and Middle Tennessee State." Out of those schools Moore says the two of the ACC schools are pursuing him the heaviest. "North Carolina State and Duke are recruiting me the hardest right now."
One of those schools has seen Moore on campus numerous times already. "I visited Duke 3 times last year. I liked it even though they didn't play that great but they have a great campus."
Moore already has some criteria in which he'll be using when looking at potential colleges as well. "The coach and the education will be the most important things for me. I would like a coach that is a great leader and can inspire me on and off the field. Education is a must. I would like to graduate college with a great business degree."
As for next year things are already on the up and up for Moore and Blue Eagles. You see head coach Jet Turner was set to leave Clover for another position at but Turner had a change of heart and decided that he couldn't leave his Clover players. With next year looking bright Moore talked about some goals he's set for himself. "I wanna rush for 1400+ yards and 20 touchdowns. I want to lead my team to a region championship and onto the state championship again."
With Moore's unbelievable state championship game performance he imposed his sheer will powering in for 3 touchdowns he clearly landed on the recruiting map in a big way.
