Maryland DB Enjoyed Duke Visit

Baltimore, Md., product Courtney Bridget holds one offer from Oregon, however he is starting to see his recruiting take off, hearing from many new schools as of late. Recently he took a visit to Duke to see what the Blue Devils brought to the table and despite their lack of production on the field over the past few years he sees light at the end of the tunnel.

Courtney Bridget, a 6-foot-2.5, 187-pound defensive back from Calvert Hall College High School visited Duke this past weekend and has started hearing from a number of new schools lately that he'll certainly be looking into. He claims his recruiting has picked up especially since the New Level Athletics 7-on-7 tournament and talked about that with

"I went down to Duke this weekend and really enjoyed myself," Bridget explained. "They jut pulled my transcripts last Thursday, so hopefully that means they're planning on offering me. The coaching staff and I really bonded and I know the new head coach David Cutcliffe comes from Tennessee and has a fine coaching background. I really think they'll start to turn things around and I think I can help with that. The campus was beautiful, they're building a brand new facility and the academics are great there. I really like Duke."

"Things have really been picking up elsewhere too," Bridget added. "Rutgers and Colorado want me to come and visit and I'm going to Connecticut and Oregon for spring games. I have also talked to Oregon State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt lately. I'm excited to be getting some SEC attention."

As a junior Bridget collected 63 tackles, 13 pass break-ups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery
