Will Gilchrist Back From Scout.com Camp

Will Gilchrist, a 6-2, 175 pound quarterback from Savannah-Hardin, (Tenn.) enjoyed his time this weekend at the Under Armour/Scout.com camp at Auburn University. Gilchrist spoke about the experience as well as some of the schools staying in contact.

Will Gilchrist said, "I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of good coaches and good players there. We did a lot of good drills, and it was really fun. I really enjoyed it."

"We worked a lot on footwork and then some throwing. They brought the receivers over, and we worked with them and threw a lot of routes."

"The running backs and tight ends came over. We did a little one-on-one which was real good because we got to throw against a lot of good athletic corners."

"We also did some seven-on-seven drills. That was a lot of fun. I threw a touchdown pass on a deep ball. I think there were around 20 quarterbacks."

Gilchrist reported his status with schools by saying, "I've been offered by Louisiana Tech."

"I went to Tennessee for their Junior Day and talked to their coach. He said they were interested to watching my senior season."

Memphis sounds like they could possibly offer along with Middle Tennessee."

As far as Middle Tennessee he said, "I went to their spring game and talked to their coach and also talked to their coach. They told my head coach if I looked good at the camp they would probably offer then. It's a school I like a lot. It's only two hours a way, and I have a lot of friends who go there."

He commented on Memphis, "Memphis is a school that is only two hours away, and they have sent me a lot of handwritten letters."
