The fallout from Duke's summer camp continued on Sunday as the Blue Devils landed a third prospect in three days with the commitment of Dana Hills (Calif.) quarterback Sean Schroeder. The southpaw signal caller is considered a three star prospect and the No. 55 quarterback in the country according to Scout.com.
After attending Duke
's camp on Saturday, Schroeder had returned to California to discuss the decision making process with his parents. That process moved relatively fast as the 6-foot-3, 185lbs prospect phoned the Blue Devil coaching staff on Sunday morning to make it official.
"When it came down to it, the prospect of being coached by guys like Coach Roper and Coach Cutcliffe was too much for him to turn down," said Sean's father Scott Schroeder. "Coach Cutcliffe has coached a who's who of quarterbacks - most notably the Mannings. He's very excited to be official for Duke."
Schroeder, who maintains a 3.9 grade point average away from the football field, was hearing from Boise State, Duke, Cal, Stanford, UCLA, Purdue, Colorado and Oregon State before the Blue Devils made the offer this weekend.
