"The Auburn camp went really well. It was a lot better than last year. I had a lot of fun. It was more organized. I enjoyed working out with their coaches."
"The Tennessee, Duke and Clemson camp all went well. I had a good time at all those camps. At all of the camps I worked as a tight end."
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect has received four scholarship offers, but does not list any favorites.
"I have offers from UAB, Middle Tennessee, Arkansas State and South Alabama. Most of the big SEC schools said they are evaluating me very hard. They all want me to come to their camps. UAB and Arkansas State are recruiting me the hardest," Smith explained.
"All the schools have said they are recruiting me as a tight end, H-Back or defensive end. It really doesn't matter to me which position I play. I don't have a preference. I feel like I would be best playing H-Back."
Smith is an athletic prospect and is hopeful an SEC offer will arrive. He has all the tools and continues to grow into a solid prospect.
"We have been working very hard in the weight room this summer," he said. "We have been running every day and working in pass skel. I would like to get up to 235-pounds of mostly muscle. I am working on speed, agility and my pass catching."
