Chris has taken a few guided campus tours, but he will be looking at things with a lot more attention to detail on his official trips.
"I really want to see what type of energy the teams bring to the field," said Hubbard. "I want to see how the coaches react to missed plays and things like that. That type of thing is important."
The Georgia native has Duke and Mississippi State at the top of his pecking order, but the Blue Devils and Bulldogs appear to have some company in the rearview mirror.
"UCLA is starting to get up there too," said Chris. "I have been talking to the coaches out there and they just make me feel real good about everything. They tell me I could come out there and be a part of the team and be a part of what they are building there. I have been talking to some of the other guys that are committed there and they make me feel good about them too."
For now Chris is looking to be a leader for his high school team. With a post season decision expected, Hubbard is doing what he can to go out on a winning note at Carver High.
"We look real good," said Hubbard of fall practice. "I think we're going to be better than last year, way better. I think our strength is our defense. This is probably the best team we have had since I have been here. I am working hard to be a leader and keep the O line in check."
Hubbard holds offers from Duke, North Carolina, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Penn State and UCLA.
