Will Don Bosco Prep Standout Be Offered?

Don Bosco Prep has an extremely potent rushing attack with two stellar players in Dillon Romain and Tony Jones, but they only get as far as their offensive line allows with players like senior Jack Templeton leading the way. We caught up with the interior lineman recently to see how his summer went.

Jack Templeton, a 6-foot-3.5, 255-pound offensive guard from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, N.J., hasn't picked up an offer yet, but is being heavily recruited by Ivy League schools and has also camped at two FBS-level programs as well over the past few months.

"I've been talking to Ivy League schools like Princeton, Penn, Dartmouth and Columbia a lot," Templeton said. "I also camped at Maryland, Yale and Duke and plan to start visiting schools after my senior season."

"I did alright down at Duke," Templeton stated. "Unfortunately I had to leave immediately when camp broke, so I didn't get to talk to the coaching staff in person at all. They had a really nice campus and the coaches were really intense. Duke is a great school and they play very competitive football in the ACC too, so there is a lot to like there."

"I went down with my team to Maryland for a day and a half and got to tour everything with one of the coaches. Their facilities were top of the line and the campus was really nice. I haven't heard from them at all since I was there though."

Templeton earned first-team All-League and All-County honors as a junior and carries a 3.7 core GPA. He bench presses 340 pounds.
