Top 2010 OL Gets A Duke Offer

James Hurst is expected to be one of the top offensive line prospects in the country for the 2010 class. With seven early offers from one coast to the other, James appears to headed for nationwide recruitment.

"I have two new offers," reported Hurst. "I got Purdue's offer in writing last week and Duke told me yesterday that their offer is in the mail. That gives me seven offers now."

The Boilermakers and Blue Devils join Indiana, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Stanford as schools with offers on the table for the talented junior.

Several other schools are writing the 6-5, 275 pounder. A few of them may be on the verge of offering.

"I am getting a letter just about every day from Oregon," said James. "I think UCLA and Oregon are close to offering and maybe Iowa too. That's not based on anything I have heard, but just on how much interest they are showing in me."

Hurst attended the Purdue and Oregon game this past weekend and he plans to return to West Lafayette when Notre Dame visits in two weeks.

James will also be attending a game or two at Mississippi State, but no firm plans have been made.
