Furr Setting Visits

LeRon Furr racked up a nice list of early offers. Arkansas, Central Florida, Duke, Georgia Southern, Louisville, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and UAB all came out strong in their early efforts to nab the talented linebacker. With college coaches making regular calls now, that group is being divided by an increase or a lack of attention.

"I have had calls from Coach Middleton at Duke, Coach Ward at Arkansas, Coach Spencer from Oklahoma State and I had a coach from North Carolina State and Middle Tennessee call," said Furr. "They all want me to take a visit there and come see their campus."

LeRon is in the process of setting up his official visits and he has three destinations tentatively placed on his calendar.

"I am going to visit Duke, Arkansas and Oklahoma State and I am not sure about the other two visits yet," said Furr. "I am going to Oklahoma State next weekend when they play Texas A&M. I have not set a date on the other visits yet." With double digit offers, Furr has a lot to sort through. His primary method of focus is to lean more towards the schools showing him the most interest.

"I don't have any favorites, but I am really looking at the schools that are recruiting me the hardest," said LeRon. "I am looking at the schools that have been recruiting me hard from the beginning."

Furr plans a post season decision and is working hard to make his final season one to remember. Carver is currently at .500 record wise, but LeRon expects to get back on the winning side of things this week.

"We are 2-2 right now and we play Columbus this week," said LeRon. "They like to run the ball, but I don't think they'll get too far against out defense."
